REGISTRATION

When will registration open?  What are the registration rates?
Registration will open early September 2017. Registration rates can be found on the Policies page.

What does my registration fee include?
-Access to all Education Sessions and General Sessions
-Admission to the Exhibit Hall (except Non-Exhibiting Vendors)
-The Opening Party Sunday night and Closing Party Tuesday night
-Participation in Express Exchange (except Non-Exhibiting Vendors)
-Access to Golf and RFMA Gives 5K Fun Run/Walk with additional fee

What meals are included in my registration fee?
-Lunch in the Exhibit Hall on Monday and a seated lunch at our Tuesday General Session
-Food and beverage at the Sunday and Tuesday evening events
-Monday and Tuesday morning continental breakfasts
-Morning and afternoon beverages Monday and Tuesday

I am not a RFMA Restaurant member but my co-worker is and cannot attend. Can I use their membership to register at the member rate?
RFMA Restaurant membership is an individual membership and non-transferable to others. Visit our RFMA website to learn more about joining RFMA or contact Ryan Byrd at ryan@rfmaonline.com.

Can I use a credit card to register?
Yes, we accept American Express, Visa and Master Card.

Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?
A confirmation of your registration will be sent to you via email immediately upon registering online. Please note this is an HTML-based email, so if your settings do not allow this type of email, please contact Ryan Byrd at ryan@rfmaonline.com. For registrations made with payment by check, please allow two weeks for processing; confirmation of registration will be sent via email immediately upon processing.  If you do not receive confirmation after 30 days, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Will I be refunded if I have to cancel my registration?
We’ll be sorry that you won’t be able to join us for this exceptional learning and networking experience!  However, we understand that things happen. If received in writing by February 1, 2018, RFMA will refund your meeting registration. Refunds will not be made after February 1, 2018 or for no-shows. Cancellation requests should be sent to Ryan Byrd at ryan@rfmaonline.com.

Will I receive a printed badge in the mail?
No. Email confirmation for your badges will be sent in advance of the meeting to all persons registered by February 16, 2018.  Registered attendees will receive a badge preview for approval followed by an email with the Express Registration bar code.  Please bring this email and all credentials to the meeting. Persons registering after February 16, 2018, should bring a copy of their email confirmation to the meeting to pick-up a badge onsite. The bar code included on this confirmation will greatly speed your process through self-registration or the registration customer service area.

HOTEL & TRAVEL

What is the RFMA 2018 conference hotel?
We have a 3 different RFMA 2018 conference hotels in Downtown Phoenix for attendees to choose from. Please refer to our Hotel & Travel page on the website for more details and rates. 
Please note that a one-night NON-REFUNDABLE deposit will be processed by the hotel on or around February 1. No refunds will be processed after that date.

How can I make a hotel reservation?
If you are a restaurateur, you must first register to attend the RFMA 2018 Annual Conference. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email which will contain a link for Housing. Click on this link to see a list of hotels available over the dates you plan to attend. (The earlier you register, the more options you are likely to have.)
If you are with an exhibiting company, please contact the main contact from your organization to receive your link. 

Who is RFMA's official housing bureau?
Housing is managed through our official housing bureau, CONNECTIONS HOUSING. Do NOT respond to solicitations from other housing bureaus; they may not be legitimate and do not represent RFMA. If you have any questions please contact Ryan Byrd at ryan@rfmaonline.com or at 972-805-0905. 


Will I receive a confirmation of my housing reservation?
After you make a hotel reservation (using the link provided in your conference registration confirmation) you will receive an email with an acknowledgement number from the housing bureau and details on your reservation. (If you do NOT receive this email, please contact Connections Housing by phone at 404-842-0000 or 800-262-9974, or by email RFMA@connectionshousing.com).
Approximately one week before the conference, you will receive a second email, which will include the hotel confirmation number, as well as the acknowledgement number from the housing bureau. Be sure to file your hotel confirmation with other important information about the conference.

I am bringing my family with me; will there be activities for them to enjoy?
Family and friends will LOVE Phoenix– so invite them to join you! Please visit our Hotel & Travel page for some links to the Phoenix CVB area. Guest Party Tickets are available for the Opening Party ($99) and the Closing Party for ($104). Guest Registration is also available onsite for $250. All events at RFMA 2018 are 21 and over.

Will transportation be provided during the conference?
Ground transportation between the airport and hotels is NOT provided on a complimentary basis. 

SESSIONS & EVENTS

What nights are open for entertaining clients and exploring the area?
There are no scheduled events on Sunday evening after 7:30pm and after 6:30pm on Monday.

Are there any fun social events where I will get to know others?
Yes! There will be plenty of food, activities and networking opportunities that you won't want to miss at RFMA 2018! Visit our RFMA 2018 Events page to get all the details.

Can I buy individual additional event tickets for the Opening & Closing parties? What is the cost?
Opening Party ticket can be purchased for $99 and a Closing Party ticket can be purchased for $104. All restaurant, exhibitor, non-exhibiting and guest registrations include these events and you do not need to purchase a party ticket.

Can I get a listing of the educational sessions being offered?
Yes. A complete listing of all sessions, including session descriptions and speaker bios is available under the Sessions & Events tab prior to the conference. All of this information will also be available in our RFMA 2018 conference app, which will launch prior to the conference. 

Are there handouts available at each session?
We are a paperless conference unless otherwise stated in the session descriptions. Speakers with handouts will provide the PDF format via this website under the "Session Handouts" page and also on the RFMA 2018 mobile app.

How can I become a speaker at the Annual Meeting?
The education program for each Annual Conference is finalized prior to August 1st of the previous year. The proposal portal opens in May and stays open through July, specific dates will be posted annually. If you've missed this time frame, consider submitting a topic for a webinar through RFMA's website www.rfmaonline.com. If you have specific questions about getting involved as a speaker at a future RFMA conference, please contact Debi Kensell, Education Director at debi@rfmaonline.com.

CONFERENCE POLICIES

Who can attend the Annual Conference and Exposition?
The RFMA 2018 is open to facility professionals who are full time employees of restaurant companies. Conference registration is open to all industry professionals at the applicable rate. Entrance to the exhibit hall is only open to those industry partners (i.e., suppliers) who exhibit and or sponsor the conference. This ensures a high buyer/seller ratio. RFMA reserves the right to refuse ineligible registrations. Please do not hesitate to contact Annaji Sailer, CRFP with any questions or concerns regarding this policy.

What is the dress code?
We want you to be comfortable so you can enjoy your meeting experience! Therefore, business casual dress is strongly encouraged.  We suggest bringing a light sweater or jacket with you during the day as meeting rooms are air conditioned. Jeans are acceptable for the closing night party, but no shorts or flip-flops please.

When will I receive the Conference Program guide?
We are a paperless conference and you will not receive a RFMA 2018 Conference Program Book. You are able to find all of our conference information on our RFMA 2018 app and also our RFMA 2018 conference website. Please refer to the Conference Schedule and Education Schedule for times and location of sessions and events.

Are Children allowed on the Exhibit Floor?
NO.  No one under the age of 21 (including infants and toddlers) is allowed on the floor at any time – including during set-up and tear down.  There are no exceptions to this policy.  ID may be requested if the age of the individual is in question.
